Can someone give me a link to site that will take me through reformatting a
hard drive that doesn't need any info on it saving? (Want to reformat before
installing XP)

Ray,

You just boot from your Windows XP CD ROM.
You can remove partitions and reformat as part of the setup process.
There is no need to pre-prepare the hard disk.
