My Recent Documents don't work

Hey can anyone help me solve this problem? I have my
recent documents turn on in windows Xp but it doesn't
work anymore. Also the same goes for my recenlty open
programs.

Any suggestions to solve the problems?

Right click the Start button>>Properties>>Advanced. Check here to see if the
Recent Documents has a check mark in the box [List my most recently opened
documents].
