COMPRESS C:\ w/o clicking "Ignore" 296 times?

The fact that there are 296 items 'in use' when I boot up and go directly to
compress the drive,Clicking "Ignore All" will NOT give me a properly . .
..compresssed drive.

I have no problem with D:\, therefore what is the solution to having a
fully compressed C:\?

Files that are in use currently may not be available for compression.
Also this feature in the first line is for data that is not accessed
often. Because compressed data needs to be uncompressed before it can
be used, file compression will slow down Windows and your application
if you use it with data that is accessed frequently.
