Hi,

I have a weird problem.
For the last couple of weeks, each time I open a browse window from any
application, such as file->open or file->save
the files are displayed in descending order.
Any ideas why?

Hi Mike,

Usually they will display in whatever mode they were last in. Next time you
open it, change the view before selecting a file. You cna do this using the
available buttons and by clicking on the column headers.

Did so.
No change.
It happens from all applications.
Any other ideas?

Hi Mike,

No other real ideas. Have you installed SP1 yet? There is an issue with XP
remembering settings for folders that was resolved in SP1. You might also
try this tweak from MVP Kelly:

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Line 2, increase the folder view size limit to 8000
