I am having problems at start up. My system seems to
boot up OK untill the WindowsXP Professional logo comes
on then there is about a 30 second blank screen - then a
blue screen flashes (not long enough to read)- then
message of "Sync Out of range" - then reboots to safe
mode screen. In safe mode I have read in the event
viewer:
Application errors; DCOM 10005, (50) 4609, None 8193
System errors; Service control manager 7001 & 7026.
I have installed a new video card (MSI Ti4200) about 3
weeks ago but it seemed to be working fine.
If anyone knows what my problem is or can give me some
direction on how to trobleshoot it - I would appreciate
it.
Thanks

This sounds like a problem between the video card and the monitor. In
the Safe Mode change the video settings in the Control Panel > Display
> Settings > Advanced to a lower quality (like 1024 * 768 and 16
colors). Also lower the screen refresh rate. Then restart Windows and
if it now starts well open the settings dialog again and carefully
enhance the video settings. You may want to consult the manual of the
monitor for help with what video modes it is capable with.
