Printer problem

I have a Lexmark 73 printer that worked just fine untill
recently. I do not know why I have an "unknow device"
appearing on the device manager. I seems to be a driver
problem. I un installed an re installed the software and
even tried the driver download from the Lexmark website.
I cant get it to work. Any suggestions?

In device manager remove the printer and also remove the software. Switch
Off the computer and disconnect the printer, then switch On the computer
and install the software. Connect the printer( switch On) and Windows will
find and install the printer and software

It's a Lexmark... there's one extra step as Lexmark installs a Service which
doesn't uninstall very well.
