By doing so, will it also change the " C:\Documents and
Settings\username"?
They put in the name from the person who took my computer
in to have XP installed and not the computer owners (Me)
name.

What will happen is that an entirely new user profile and set of
folders (C:\Documents and Settings\Username) will be created, with the
spelling _you_ select.
