Problem Switching Identities in Outlook Express w/ XP

I just installed XP Professional, and Outlook Express
doesn't seem to like switching identities anymore. When
I switch identities, the Outlook Express screen just
disappears. I click on the OE icon to restart the
program, and nothing happens. The only way I can get OE
to come up again is to restart my computer. I'm hoping
this is not just a "feature" of OE working within XP.
Suggestions?
