Many, many years ago I obtained a copy of an old DOS
program called 4PRINT. It allowed you to print multiple
pages to a single sheet of paper. My old computer (whose
HD has since been reformatted) had 4PRINT installed in
such a way that it appeared in the Windows98 dialog box
as a printer whenever you went to print something. I
still have all the 4PRINT files, including the 4SHELL
file which was the Windows 3.1 interface but I can't
remember how to install 4PRINT as a printer.

Is there anybody out there still alive who knows how to
do this?

TIA,
Jack

Since XP is not built on the DOS kernel, but rather, the NT kernel, many
"old DOS" programs are just not compatible. If 4Print has a website, you
might want to check there for updates, or even see if it is compatible
before trying to load it on XP.

Greetings --

Many modern print drivers come with this capability built-in, and
have no need of a 3rd-party applications to accomplish the task. Have
you carefully examined all of the capabilities of your current
printer's drivers and feature set?

I never noticed it before but you're right. I *can* print
multiple pages per sheet with my existing driver.

Thanks Bruce!
