Start, Run and enter CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2 Uncheck Users must enter a
username......... Click Apply and provide the requested information.

Gunner, it looks like you should leave 1.0 in place - especially if you
are running applications that depend on that version of .NET Framework.

Gunner, it looks like you should leave 1.0 in place - especially if you
are running applications that depend on that version of .NET Framework.

Correct. The framework versions are designed to and should run side-by-side.
..Net applications will target the proper framework version when they run.

In your instructions for disabling the notification for unread mail for all
users, you point to a subkey entitled "UnreadMail". However, it doesn't
exist on my system so am I simply creating this key?
