View Full Version : Can't set permissions for shared printer on XP Home

I'm running a small LAN and have connected a printer to
my Windows XP, SP1 computer (Compaq Presario) and when I
share the printer, I find that the other computers on the
LAN (Win2K, SP4) get Access Denied errors attempting to
reach it.

When I go to the printer's properties to review and
change the permissions, there is no Security tab there.
I can't change the permissions from another computer,
even using my Administrator password. When I attempt it
I get an Access Denied error again.

Anyone have any thoughts on setting the permissions for
this shared printer?

Thanks,

Jerry
