Hi, When I load IE6 on my Dell laptop running windows XP,
I get a sound event "You have mail". I have turned of all
event sounds in control panel/sounds, but I still get it.
Could someone please suggest where I could find this and
turn it off. Thanks

Hmmm, IE doesn't have a mail notification event. It is a browser, not an
email client.

If you are at your ISP's site when this sound occurs, perhaps it is a
setting within their software or at their site. For example, the homepage
for my ISP has a link I can use to personalize that page, including sound
choices.
