View Full Version : Auto LogOn and Tweak UI

Here is a strange one....I installed TWEAKUI, and set the "Auto Log On" with my name....EVERY OTHER reboot, I get "WELCOME" screen and have to pick my user account to start XP(Home version). I then open TWEAKUI, check the auto log on and see that the box next to my name is unchecked....WHY won't this setting stay put, and is there a way I can set this permanently w/o having to recheck autolog on in UI? Seems to me that something is over-riding UI...I do not have a password to log on, I am the only person who uses the PC...any help to offer? ...........Starchild

Hi there Starchild,
Start, Run and type "CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2" (q/o quotation marks) and click OK. Uncheck the box Users must
enter a username and password.......... Click Apply. In the next
dialog, enter the user name that you want logged on automatically, and
the password for that account, if any.
