This is something that started recently. When the system is fully loaded I
receive 2 default beeps. Nothing seems to be reporting in system alerts.
Everything is working but it's driving me nuts because I can't tell what's
happening.
any ideas?

Perhaps you could determine your system board manufacturer, then surf to
their website and do a search on their boot codes, something should come up.
Otherwise, simply do a yahoo or google search on POST beep codes. As an
example, here is a link to several BIOS POST codes.
http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm
Hope this guides you in the right direction.

If I can't figure out why my system is doing this I will have to do a
complete reinstall. So if anyone know I need your help.
Thanks

If your system is working correctly, why would you want to do a complete
reinstall? What is the make/model of your system? FWIW, I've seen
clients' Compaqs make 2 beeps on startup and apparently nothing wrong.
True, the usual signal for "everything is OK" from the motherboard is
one beep, but then Compaq has never done anything standard. So if
everything is working correctly, then don't worry about it! Or do a
search for the issue relating to your motherboard or contact your OEM
or read your manual.
Post back with more specs about your computer if you want more help.

This is not a posting beep from boot or bios. It is right after the desktop
appears. I'm using XP Pro with a P4 3.06 in a D845PEBT2 MB. This as just
started happening. I have tried to uninstall any recent software. I have
run spyware and virus software. The system starts ans runs fine. The
desktop shows and then it gives two default beeps. Beep beep.

Well, I guess the only way to find out what is causing it is to clean
boot using msconfig. Does it beep in Safe Mode? If yes, then this is
probably hardware. If no, then something is starting in Windows regular
mode, perhaps your internet connection? I have a client with a
satellite connection and it beeps when starting. The only way to find
out is to strip your startup down to absolutely the bare essentials and
add things in one at a time. But this isn't something that warrants a
reinstall. You have to take the time to Sherlock it first.

Event Viewer shows nothing under Application or system?
Have you changed the sound scheme to Sound and Audio properties to "No
Sounds"?
This would allow you to test whether it is a Windows event, which is
making the sound.
If it is a Windows Event, you should be able to find it in the list, and
identify the application and event with which it is associated. Maybe,
it is just some noisy little systray monster.

When I un ticked nvwiz and nvcpl in the startup section of msconfig the two
beeps stop. So it is tied into my video driver some way. By un ticking
those nvidia thingies I'v lost the custom color settings. I run a dual
monitor setup. Same model 19" lcds but the color and gamma are slightly
diff. Well a lot diff. I think I'll roll back to an older driver. I also
notice that a occurrence of rundll32.exe no longer stays in processes
running. I was bugged by that thing just hanging around even though I knew
it was being called by video driver. It use to go away after it did what
ever it was supposed to do.

Glad you figured it out. Aren't you happy now that you did some
detective work instead of just reinstalling? ;-)

Yes and no. It still is not explained why it started doing this out of the
blue. Un ticking stopped the symptoms but did not solve the problem. I
will do a complete reinstall soon. I do so at least once a year as windows
is such a pig when it comes to cleaning up behind it's self.
Thanks for your help and input
