Hi Joe,

WinXP sees which as unformatted? The FAT/FAT32 ones? Or the ones housing
other OS's? Don't do any disk management under WinXP, as it will affect
those partitions in the other systems as well. Did you use a partitioning
program or boot manager? This is one where you *really* should be.

Just would like to add that Windows 98 won't see any other partition that is
not FAT/FAT32, while Windows XP will see them, but because they are not
FAT/FAT32/NTFS, it won't correctly identify what they are, hence it coming
up as "unformatted". So don't delete them at all. You really need
Partition Magic 8 to be able to correctly identify the partitions and to
manage them.

The drives seen as unformatted are HPFS (0s/2 operating system) and i
don t want to delete the drives i just want to remove the drive letters
so windows xp does not see them at all. Is this possible?

Hi Joe,

No, it's not, unless you use a boot manager that can "hide" them from that
installation.

You can hide drives so they don't appear in explorer using TweakUI or Group Policy. Is that what
you want to do?
