Hot mail user name is full hotmail email address.
Try reading the help files on start, elp & Support. Lots of information
there.

I'm finding I don't know how it WORKS. I am getting very frustrated! Silly
things like "what is the reason I can't sync my "msn.com" email to Outlook"?
I have always used outlook as my primary email through work, so I've never
needed to combine. I keep getting an error having to do with pop3 server
when the instructions say to assign an http, and I followed the instructions
to the letter, what is the functional differences between servers, what are
proxy servers, how do you know when to use which?
> I have gotten far enough that when I mess up, I can restore the system, I
have office skills, so I am looking to develop more of a familiarity of the
internal works.
> Another silly question.. is "hotmail" the same as what I have-- an
address of "msn.com"?
> The net passport that comes included, (I have no idea what value it
actually serves) , I may have it set up incorrectly, but it continually pops
up that my password/username is not valid, so I log in manually anyway, even
though I have the settings to sign in automatically. I thought the purpose
of passport would be to avoid this? Is the username the entire email
address, a proper name or the screen name?? I hate being so disfunctional,
if I knew what the terms meant and how each piece of the puzzle functioned
independantly....
> If anyone has any simplified definitions, I would certainly appreciate it,
I find that I am fascinated with technology and just just the administrative
user level is becoming boring! Thanks so much.
