Icon Sort Order Keeps Resetting

Hi folks!
I like to keep my files in the My Documents folder
aranged by the date modified instead of by name. However
every time I set up the folder to show files by the date
modified it stays put for a while then resets itself back
to sort by name. Continually resetting this is a
nuisance and I would like an explanation why this keeps
resetting.
