I have home XP, how do I read floppies created on a
machine that is Win '98se? I insert into floppy drive
onthe XP machine and it says "Disk in Drive A not
formatted.

Floppy formats are the same with Win9x and Win XP. You have some other
problem, perhaps bad media or a bad drive.

There are issues with XP and floppy drives, floppy disks. Try copying the
data on the disk to a new formatted floppy disk from a system using 98. You
may need to change the floppy drive.
