How can I customize the Windows Update globe so it will
only scan for Critical updates/patches "and" "leave all"
other updates at
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com "alone"?

Hi,
You can use the personalize option to hide unwanted updates *after* they
have been posted, but you can't block them before.

I have downloaded the latest driver from Nvidia and am using it at this
time. When I go to Windows Updates, it shows the Nvidia driver needing to be
downloaded. When I look at my history it shows it as having already been
downloaded. Now, why can't I remove it with the peersonalize option? It
isn't listed. Secondly, if I download it again it will install as my default
driver. I guess I will need to go to Update Drivers and reinstall the latest
driver from Nvidia. If so, will it show up again as having to be downloaded
at Windows Update? Sorry for such a lengthy post.

If you have downloaded the latest generic XP certified drivers from NVIDIA
ignore the message on windows update. NVIDIA have the latest drivers.
