Desktop colour

i accidently selected a desktop colour in display
properties and now i cant seem to change it back to a
clear colour. no all my icons are surronded with that
colour around the text of the icon and the background
picture does not blend in now. can any one help me to get
the icon backgrounds back to clear. ive tried adjusting
the performance settings already.

Hi,

Checkpoints to consider:

1) Right click on desktop >> arrange icons by >> uncheck "Lock Web items on
desktop"

2) Right click on My Computer >> Properties >> Advanced tab >> Settings
under 'Performance' >> check "Use drop shadows for icon labels on desktop".
