Windows Update for Friends

May I download and save to a CD Critical Windows Updates
for friends that do not have a broadband connection to
the internet or do they have to be connected themselves
in order to update their system? If I can, any
suggestions on how to do this. The update webpage I get
while online does not offer an option to save to a file,
it only downloads then installs. Any help will be
appreciated.

In the left hand pane at Windows Update, click on "Customize" and then click
"Show Windows Update Catalog"

You can then go to Windows Update Catalog, and download updates for burning
to CD to install on another machine.
