I have a number of Floppy discs with files I saved when
we had 98. When I try to access the files, I get an
error message that the disc has not been formatted. I
can still access the files with computer running 95. Is
there a way around this?
Thanks

Dave, format a floppy on the XP machine. Take it to the other computer and
copy the files to the floppy. Then try the floppy on the XP machine again.
Floppy drives are not made with the same quality that they were made with
years back. The difference in head alignments from one drive to the another
can cause the type of problem that you are seeing.

The file structure may be 'corrupted' somehow and XP is not very
tolerant of any bad file structures. Type chkdsk A: /F to fix any bad
files/structure to fix it or use Norton disk doctor.
