Missing or corrupt file Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Windows could not start because the following file is
missing or corrupt: \windows\system32\config\system

I get this error when booting my PC now any ideas as to
how to fix this ?

If this happened only once, shelf it and keep an eye on the system. Be
careful with shutdown procedures and be watchful for other failures.

If completely stuck with this message, it usually indicates some corruption
to the registry. Some repair action on your part may be necessary to
