Can anyone tell me if the backup section in Windows XP Pro does the
same backup that you can do using Ghost or Direct Image. I would like
to backup my C drive with all my operating system and programs so that
if I have a major problem I can just restore it. I am backing up to a
removeable hard drive. I have all my personal information on this
removeable drive, but have not tried to back up the above yet?
If I can do this with XP Pro can someone offer me the steps involved
so I can try and follow them. Thanks for any assistance.

Start | Run | type "ntbackup" | enter | click on the bottom icon for ASR =
wizard | follow the prompts. =20

It is not the "same" as an image file. It does work, EVERYTHING =
(except the OS) is copied from the system drive to a .bkf file on your =
2nd HDD. When you boot from the XP CD and hit F2 to run ASR your HDD =
(system) is formatted and a fresh copy of XP is installed then the .bkf =
file is restored and you're off and running again.

Just my 2=A2 worth
