MS Visual Studio

Every time I make a backup using XP Pro Backup utility MS
Visual Studio wants to connect to the internet. I am
wondering why? this program seems to have nothing to do
with backing up files according to google. I always block
it from connecting on the general principle that if I
don't know what it is doing I am not letting it phone home.

This has no effect on backups at all and I have never seen
it try to use my connection when using any other program
but backup.

This is not a major issue I am just curious as to what is
it for?
