I have XP Pro and continuously receive a popup that there is a local area
connection that is unplugged. Can any one give any help on how to resolve
this. I am on cable internet thru a 4 port router. Do not receive on other
system with XP Home.
Thanks

1. Click Start, Control Panel, Appearance and Themes, Taskbar and Start
Menu.
2. Make sure Hide inactive icons is checked and then click Customize.
3. Find Local Area Network connection in the list of taskbar icons and click
it.
4. Click the drop down box next to the Local Area Connection and choose
Always Hide.
5. Click OK, Apply, OK.
