TV Tuners and Hyper Thread and XP

I found this article and this is my problem.

I just don't want to pay support to get it fixed and I
really don't want to wait until sp2 either. Does anyone
have this fix already that would share it with me?

Just call MS and tell them you have the problem described in the article
and want the hotfix. Don't volunteer anything unless specifically
asked, and don't bring up any other issues. There should be no charge:
"charges that are ordinarily incurred for support calls may be canceled
if a Microsoft Support Professional determines that a specific update
will resolve your problem."

If you contact Microsoft support by phone, and immediately say that you
want fix 817589 because you are experiencing the specific problem, you
will not be charged
