View Full Version : printing only half the image

When printing from a WinXP computer to a HP DesignJet 1050C, we find that
only half the image (a PDF file printed from Acrobat 5 or Illustrator 9) is
printed.
What could cause this to happen?

Corrupted drivers.

I would have thought so too, only this printer is a networked printer shared
from a server. If we send the file to a different WinXP on the network the
file prints fine.
I would rather think it was a setting somewhere...? If you still think it's
the driver, how do I get WinXP to uninstall the pritnerdriver for a shared
networked printer? If I disconnect/delete the printer from the workstation
the driver is not removed.

When you originally installed the printer, did you copy the drives over from
the Server to the client or install them on the client from a different
source?

The drivers are installed automatically from the server when the client
connects to the printer.

The problem appears to me to be a lack of memory on your printer - mine does the same thing. How much memory do you have for your printer?

No, generally it's corrupted drivers. And folks reinstalling their printers
but omitting Step 4, thereby reinstalling the corrupted ones!
