Hello, I am a new Windows XP owner. I have a word pad
document from the internet. Under Windows XP, how do you
open the document?

Assuming you have saved the word pad file simply go to the directory you
have stored it on and click on the document file. Word pad will
automatically open and display the file.
Alternatively you can click the start button followed by all programs and
then select accessories from the drop down menu. At the bottom of the
accessories menu is word pad. Click that to open wordpad.

Hope this helps

And, once you have Word Pad open, click:
File
Open
choose the file you want
