hide inactive icons (in sys tray ) function not working

Hello , I went to the properties >taskbar> ck'ed off HIDE
INACTIVE ICONS box , but its not hiding the inactive
icons (in sys tray ) . The function not working . Anyone
have an idea how to correct this ?

Make sure one of the icons is set to "always hide." Click OK,
Apply, and OK. That worked for me.
