I ran chkdsk and it said my MFT had unused space which was allocated. I then
ran chkdsk /f to fix the problem. It then said I had problem with my volume
system bits and to run chkdsk again. I ran it again and then got the MFT
problem again. Chkdsk is just running around in circles. Does anyone know
how to correct this problem?

If the MFT is corrupt there is really nothing you can do but format the
machine. Some tools like Diskkeeper have the ability to defrag the MFT, you
could try that, but again, the Master File Table is only held on two spaces
on disk, if it becomes corrupt it is not repairable by any means I know of.
