Spellcheck is kaput

My spellchecker in MS Office 2000 Pro as well as Outlook
express has suddenly stopped working and I get an error
signature app name Winword.exe app.ver.9.0.0.3822 mod
name: msspel3.dll mod.ver 1.0.0.2217 offset 00001fcd. I
search the Knowledge base, ran all updates. Please advise.
