View Full Version : ScreenSaver Wait delay not adjustable

The delay for screensavers is grayed out. Not sure if
this is from another program or the result of an update.

The situation: Right click on desktop -> properties ->
SceenSaver tab-> choose any screen saver and the Wait
numeric box is grayed out. I looked in the registry
under HKey_Current_User\Control
Panel\Desktop\ScreenSaveTimeOut it has a value of 1800.
If I change it it will record the change in the registry
but still the screensave starts within 1 sec of
inactivity.

(Win XP pro SP1 with Matrox Dual-Head video card)

Anyone else have similiar problem?

Hi Glen,

Try the edit on line 230 (right hand side)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Sounds as though you have the screen saver set as default in the registry.
