In System Properties General Tab where it says Registered To it just says
Lynn. I mistakenly only put in my christian name not realising that in fact
I should have put in my full name. I have noticed that whenever I load any
new software and register it only shows Registered Owner just as Lynn so it
obviously getting this information from that detail.
Is there any way it can be changed without causing a problem to anything
else?

The registered name and organization can easily be changed in the registry. Go>start\run and type in regedit and click ok or hit enter on your keyboard. Now navigate the following route by clicking the + beside the entries in this order. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion Now click your cursor on CurrentVersion to highlight it and open the sub keys in the right panel. There you will see the subkey RegisteredOwner. Right click on that and then click modify and then type in wha
t you want. Once you have typed it in then simply click the OK to set the keys value. You can do the same for RegisteredOrganization if you like. I have mine set to Home. Good luck.

I'll have a look there. When I went back to the Registry settings after
rebooting it has held Lynn E Williamson so don't understand why it hasn't
changed it in System General. I must admit I was surprised I could change
it anyway as I thought I'd read somewhere that you couldn't change it and
would have to Re-Install XP.
