I have windows xp profissional (upgraded from win200
pro), it was working fine and after downloading some
updates started strange behavious it goes in to the
following sequence:
- Boots like normal
- The user profiles pops on asking for password
- when tuching any key the computer goes to the start up
screen and there it stays for ever.
I tried every thing possible to restore and repair the
problem from upgrade CD and even New install CD but it
the same problem persists. Some times it works after I
power off the computer from the main switch then the
system goes for the Check Disk screen and then to normal
startup.
It also works fine in Safe Mode.
