Appreciate the information, but it's annoying to have the
fan running all the time in my little apt.. makes a
background noise that's unnecessary, and the little fan
blows out... thus continuously sucking dirt in. Check
your panel vents and rug/floor around your computer.
Turning off the computer from time to time (and cleaning)
would decrease this buildup.
Any ideas how to fix this?

When you're released back into the community (and Goddess help the
community) and have worked out a) what the hell you're blathering on about
and b) what exactly this has to do with Windows XP, do feel free to post
back.
