View Full Version : Toolbar settings

I have A new PC with Win XP, IE6, cable modem, the
problem is, when I set the toolbars, and the Yahoo
companion toolbar where I want them, I lock the toolbars
by going to View/Toolbar/Lock Toolbar.
After I shut down the system, and then turn it back on
it always goes to the default settings on the toolbars.
Everything is there when I click view, but the companion
is unchecked, and I have to reset it.
I know this will be an easy one for someone to answer,
but it's driving me nuts!!!

Thanks in advance.

See if this helps:

Save Settings on Exit (Line 54)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.

Another point:

Are you having a HP/Compaq PC? If so, it may be due to AutoTKit.exe =
util.
Internet Explorer Toolbar settings are not saved

Hi again Kelly,,
I have tried this a few times, and it isn't working,=20
when I view the file in my docs, I right click on it, and=20
hit edit, and in the message it says "nosave", am I doing=20
something wrong?

when I went to the site, I clicked on the part that=20
says "savesettings". Am I supposed to do something with=20
this file, after I dl it?

I should have told you before, that I don't know very=20
much about computers, lol.
Once again, OOPS99
