Hp Printer driver problems

I have tried 3 different printers/drivers to load on home
xp. I have orginal sofware. One deskjet is new. I get
an error message cannot find file every time I try to
load the driver. The plug and play recognizes each
printer. The load begins and looks like it is about to
finish. The error message does not say which file it
cannot find? Any idea where I can get help?

Use the current drivers from the HP website.....

Install the software BEFORE connecting the printers.

The printer drivers on your PC are probably now so corrupted, you're going
to have to do a COMPLETE uninstall of the printers first.

This sounds similiar to a problem I had. Try using a free
downloadable registry cleaner and run that after you've
uninstalled everything and before starting to re-install
again. It seemed to work for me: Look for Reg-vac- i
think it's shareware
