start-run-control userpasswords2-uncheck user must enter a user name and
password-click apply-then ok-then select the user that you want to log on
automatically as well as the proper password if applicable. restart
computer to verify changes...good luck.

To enable automatic logon of XP HE and XP Pro
(not joined to a domain):
- [Start] | Run |
control userpasswords2
[OK]
- /Users\
[ ] "Users Must Enter A User Name And Password
To Use This Computer"
[OK]
- In the "Automatically Log On" dialog box,
type the user name and password for the account
to be logged on each time the computer starts.
