How Do You Get Rid Of Driver Updates You Don't Want To Install?

Hello:

There is a driver update that I do not want to install on
my computer. My reason why is that I know what this
driver already does, and to make a long story short, it's
a driver I have no need, nor use for as I really like the
version that already came with XP. The driver in
question is from Primax Electronics - IBM Human Input
Software Update (AKA "Mouse Suite"). I know that in the
options section on the Microsoft Update Page that you
can "Personalize Windows Update" in the "Other Options"
section. However, when I attempt to do this, it won't
allow me to do so as it states that "No updates are
available to personalize." So, is there ANY way to get
rid of this stupid driver update once and for all,
besides ignoring it? It's the only update that regularly
shows up when I go to check for updates, obviously,
because again, I haven't installed it. But, how to do
away with it knowing that it is not needed? Or, how can
I make the computer THINK that it is there and installed
when it is really not activated?

When you go to Windows Update you can click on Personalize Windows Update in
the left pane, then uncheck updates you don't want.
