1st time in the day, outlook express hangs for about 2 mins, and then starts
up.

then after every time i start outlook, its starts within 5 secs.

how can solve this? y does this happen?

Open Outlook Express and from its Toolbar select:
Tools > Options. Under the "General tab", uncheck
"Automatically logon on to Windows Messenger",
then click on "Apply".

Hi Devin,

The first time, it is not loaded in memory, and evidentally many other
things are. Subsequently, it is already cached. The solution may lie in
disabling all the junk that is loading on your system. Start/run msconfig,
go to the startup tab and disable anything that is not needed at boot up
(which is most of it).
