Uninstalling McAfee

I just upgraded to Windows XP Pro - I have a message
saying that my McAfee program needs to be uninstalled and
reinstalled. When I go to the McAfee program in Control
Panel and click to remove it, I get back to the same
message saying it needs to be uninstalled. Help, please -
how can I get it uninstalled???
