View Full Version : Writing to CD-RW

I have been trying to backup folders and files to CD's.
It seems to be going well, but I have some folders that I
have been trying to delete, and have used delete, erase,
etc., and the icons show 0 bytes on properties, yet the
folders still remain in the write to cd list. How can I
get these "ghosts" deleted? Everytime I now try to send
something to CD, these come up as still ready to download
to Cd. I have tried to send them to the CD in hopes of
getting them there and off of the hard drive and then try
to format over them ... but they will not transfer.
Also, I have hotmail as my main email program, and have
it set up to where the emails will go to Outlook
Express. Once the emails are there, can I delete them
from the hotmail account and they will still be in the
Outlook email? Also, I would like to transfer the emails
to a hard drive because I am getting close to the limit
on my hotmail account .. any ideas how to transfer to CD
and then delete.
Thanks for the help
Any help appreciated
Amber

I'm not sure if this is the most effective procedure, but I've found that
checking "Delete Temporary Files" on the left of the screen that shows files
waiting to be written to the CD does the trick for me.

Hello Dan ... thanks for responding
I tried what you suggested and the folders are still
there and I keep getting pop up windows in the sys tray
that I have folders ready to write to CD.
Maybe I can get some "liquid paper" and paint them off of
the screen :)
Anybody have any suggestions ??
Thanks
