I have loaded Word 2000 on to my brand new computer, Windows XP OS. I have been using this application for quite a while on my last computer (also Windows XP OS) and now on this one. I cannot print in a new document. The cursor just sits there and blinks.
I can create a table but cannot type in it. I can type anywhere else, such as on line or in Works Word Processor. If I open an existing Word document, I can delete but cannot generate anything keyed. I have run the program to fix anything that may be wrong
in the application, no change. I have changed keyboards, no change. I have rebooted countless times, run virus program, used Ad-aware, no change. My guess is that the application somehow became damaged, but I would like to see if perhaps someone has ideas
about what this might be. Thanks in advance!

You might get a faster answer from another newsgroup. Try
Microsoft..public.word.application.errors.
