We have three XP Pro desktops, one W2000 desktop and a Windows NT server with an HP deskjet as our "default" printer. Our problems arose when we shared two Epson printers (one connected to an XP and one to the W2000) for use when the HP was not readily av
ailable. Each computer shows all three printers. The computers with the direct connections, show each Epson as its default printer, no problem. The other two select the HP as their default printer, but it never stays selected! The default checkmark wil
l jump from printer to printer so we never know where a report might print. Even when you select a printer from the "file/ print " selection, it may not print to the printer that you requested! Makes for lots of confusion.
Any way to resolve this problem?
