Slainte all,

I'm having a bit of a problem with my desktop background.
When I go to Display > Desktop there are the background
options there, the list of the standard backgrounds
(Zapotec, Bliss, etc) and the Browse option. In theory the
Browse button should allow me to select another compatible
file type (.bmp, .jpg, .htm etc) to set as my wallpaper.
However when I go to a directory and select a compatible
picture, nothing happens, I just end up back on the
original Display scfreen with whatever my previous desktop
was selected.

I have attempted to load the pics from different locations,
load different pics, even load different kinds of pics,
with no luck. In short I am unable to change my desktop
wallpaper to anything other than the basic set listed in
Display > Desktop.

Has anyone come across this problem before? Is there some
programme clash or something that could be causing this?
It is quite frustrating as I am a customisation fiend.

Thanks for your help,
Quinn.

Castor,
Try opening a jpg in Internet Explorer and then RIGHT click on
it and select SET AS BACKGROUND or SET AS WALLPAPER and see if it will
stick.
