where/how do i delete the files listed in start->my recent documents list?

No need to download anything. Right click the start button and choose
properties. Go to start menu customize|advanced. Recent documents is at the
bottom.

why does it also delete the last visited pages in the address bar of
internet explorer?
it was only supposed to delete the list of links to the latetely opened
DOCUMNTS!

It also deletes Run Commands. If you are only wanting to delete Recent
Documents:

Prevent Documents and/or Recent Documents History (Line 50)

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
