My XP Pro CD was destroyed before installing. I have a
product key. How can I download Windows XP Professional
to install?

One cannot "download" the CD. You'll have to contact Microsoft
and request a replacement:

Greetings --

You cannot.

If it was a retail license and you have proof of purchase:

Just make a copy of a friends. As long as you have the Product Key
(that's really your license) you're legal. Or, you can call MS
customer support and ask them to send you another CD. They will
probably charge you a small fee plus shipping/handling.

This may not work. Your friend has to have the same version as you
for the keys to work: an OEM key won't work with a retail CD; an
upgrade CD won't work with a full product (non-upgrade) key; the VLK
won't work with the retail CD...you get the idea.
