I try to use my disk clean up on my C drive, I am running three drives off a
scsi pci card , no ide drives. and it causes my cpu(2.6) to overload and
heat up too much . Is there a quick fix any one knows? Thanks in advance

Running a 2.6 What...?
Do you mean your cpu is running at 100%
Where is cleanup hanging..what does it say on the screen when it freezes..?
What do you consider overheating..?
If it hangs at something about compress old files...? Then their is a fix.
If your cpu is overheating regardless you need better cooling.

More info and you will get a fix.

Hi William,

Disk Cleanup freezes during the Compressed File Phase: This edit corrects
the problem:

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
