Modify Boot.ini

We have found 1 boot.ini file which we modified for only
1 starting operating system , but when we go to msconfig
we see the boot.ini with 2 operating also by startup we
have 2 operating baically we can not modify for deletion
in msconfig that boot.ini file ?

Are there in fact two operating systems installed on the computer?

Do you want to retain that second operating system even though it will
not be bootable? If not, delete or uninstall it and then use the
"Check all boot paths" option in the BOOT.INI tab of MSCONFIG.

Your message is garbled and not at all clear. :^{

But, no matter how many boot.ini files you may have, the only one that
matters is the one in the "System Partition", almost always Drive C:. Any
other, such as D:\boot.ini or C:\Windows\boot.ini, will simply be ignored.

If you can post the contents of your C:\boot.ini here, along with
information about your HD configuration (how many drives, how they are
partitioned, and which are the System and Boot volumes), we probably can
help you figure it out. Boot.ini is normally a hidden file, so you may have
to remove that and any other attributes.
